Co-Founder Dan Solo's passion, innovation and obsession with design characterise him. Dan brings a wealth of experience in project management, problem-solving, strategic thinking and leadership developed namely during his years in the government, education, tourism and recreation industries. With a diverse background in multiple industries and post graduate studies in software engineering, education and emergency management Dan is an adaptable and passionate entrepreneur. Dan is passionate about building platforms for creative people to be able to express themselves through film and screen content and believes that the film and television industry can be much better for audiences and content creators.
Co-Founder Paul Voulas: Starting his career in tech as a software engineer and then a systems analyst Paul moved on to become an influential senior IT executive, acknowledged for strengths in expertly conveying and executing strategies that position organizations for future growth. After graduating with a Degree in Business Systems Analysis and design Paul has spent more than 20 years in large national and global entities where he honed his strengths in seizing new opportunities, uniting teams, providing solutions and steering change. Paul is recognized at board and senior management level for delivering balanced judgment, seamless organizational change, heightened customer satisfaction and improved client/vendor relationships. As a serial entrepreneur Paul, previously with Nerdi and myinfoQ, backs up his experience by having worked for respected companies such as Novell, SUSE, Zurich Financial Services, Credit Suisse First Boston, Lexus, Toyota and The University of Wollongong.
Jack Watson-Hamblin - Engineering: Jack is Fillim’s genius in residence. Jack has created the application that underpins Fillim's technical achievements. Jack and Dan have an exceptional design/development partnership and the features of the Fillim platform are testament to this. Fillim is extremely fast, scaleable, robust and easy to use. Jack's creativity and problem solving skills have meant the app is developed rapidly & Fillim has been able to follow the principles of continuous deployment, significantly reducing the delay of new features.
Andy - Marketing and PR, Asia Pacific and Japan: Andy has an extensive background in the Entertainment, Sports, Art and Finance industries where she mastered marketing, media and communications. Andy, a professional photographer for over 15 years, also has skills and experience in social research and philanthropic administration. Andy's passion for film and philanthropy drives her to get Fillm's amazing content to it's fans. Andy's post graduate studies in Cultural Communications and Business and Tourism provide the academic underpinnings to help her drive Fillim forward into Asia.
Catherine Tratsellas, Marketing and PR, Americas and EMEA: Born in Greece, raised in Sydney Australia and now living in the Big Apple, Catherine received her Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management combined with post graduate studies. Catherine's career has had a strong focus on change management, consulting, education and communications. Catherine also honed her marketing, management, strategic project and program management skills with multinationals in the insurance and finance sectors. Catherine brings a fresh, personal approach to marketing and PR in the northern hemisphere.
Victoria Baldock, Content: Victoria Baldock brings over 20 years experience in traditional distribution, entertainment and television. Beginning her career at Network Ten Australia in Advertising Sales, she later moved to London working with top broadcasters in various publicity and marketing positions. Victoria returned to Australia to take the position of Head of Sales for Southern Star International working across all genres of programming. In 2003, Victoria founded Verve Entertainment International, an independent distribution company specializing in contemporary entertainment and has and been responsible for the placement of hundreds of hours of programming to the International Broadcast Market. Victoria has attended major festivals and television markets since 1998, spoken at a number conferences, and judged a selection of Film Festivals.
